How to Post Images
Uploading Images - Adding Folders
When uploading images that you wish to use, please creat a new folder and place all your images in your folder, this will help us keep the site files organized.
Naming your folderWhen you creat your folder, please name it the same as your screen name, such as "tzolkin" if you want to orgianize your images into multiple folders, please use the following naming conventions. Example" the first folder might be called "tzolkin" but your second folder shuld be nammed "tzolkin-01" and tzolkin-02" or "tzolkin-dudes" somthing to this effect, in this way, we can keep the files organized instead of bunching them all in one folder.
To upload images
Hover over the "My Apps" tab until the tabs of your applications fold out.Move down and click on "Photos" which should be at the bottom of the list. You should now be brought to a page that displays all your current albums (if any) and at the top beside "My albums" title you are told how much space you have left and under that, you will have two options: Create New Album & Album Settings.
Click on Create New Album
You should now be brought to a page where you edit your new Album's info.
You are also given the different options that control who gets to view your albums.
DO NOT neglect to specify who can view them. The defaults for these are that everyone can see them.
Now click "Create Album" at the bottom of the page.
You should now be at the Upload page.
The restrictions for uploading photos like, size, file type, and remaining free space is shown on this page.
Uploading photos is a two step process:
- The first step is adding each photo to the loading dock by clicking "Add Files" which will bring you to your computer's file browser to choose the photo you will upload. This is a one at a time procedure. (Although the album itself is virtually limitless in how many photos you can load, the loading dock can only hold 10 photos at a time.) - Once you have filled the loading dock with ten photos (if you have less, that's fine), then click "Upload Selected Files".
- If you have more than ten photos, repeat the process of adding each file and then uploading them.
- Once you are finished uploading all the photos you want, click in the upper right-hand corner "Back to Photos". This will take you to the page that you can place titles and descriptions to each photo, delete photos, choose which photo to be the album cover. And if need be, you can also move a photo to one of your other existing albums. DON'T FORGET to click "Save Changes" before you move on from this page
what is followed/following mean?
Okay, most of us have seen that you can follow someone and that people can follow us, but how does it work and and what is it good for. Well, I've played around with it and I've got it mostly figured out. Feel free to comment your questions if I have left something out or if I've written a part (or all) of the explanation in a confusing way. I'm pretty sure that some of you after reading will decide that it's just not worth all that hassle. But for someone with a lot of friends, it's quite useful.
These instructions will probably sound confusing if you are only reading them and not doing the actions step by step along with them.
HERE IT IS:
Following doesn't mean you get more info about the person you follow. It just makes a way that you can see all of their activity and no one else's.
For Beginning Followers:
1. you have to go to each Profile Page of the guys you want to follow.
2. In the options just underneath his profile photo, you will see a "Follow" button.
3. Once you have chosen however many guys you want to follow, you have to do one more step: EVERY time you go to the What's New page on this site, you have to click on your follow 'Lists' This is a button on the upper right-hand corner of your "Comment Box" There will be a fold-down menu: Click "Default"
4. Now you are only able to see the posts of all the guys you are "Following"
NOTE: There is a button on the upper left-hand corner of your "Comment Box" that allows you to only view your Friends' activity, so it would not be beneficial to "Follow" all your friends since you can just use this button, unless you want to be an Advanced Follower(See Below).
For Advanced Followers:
1. First, you have to do all that is in the beginner's instructions before you go further.
2. The advantage of being an Advanced Follower is this: If you want, you can have more that one list of people that you follow. For example, you can have the group of 3 or 4 close friends that you follow, then you can have a list of the people that you don't keep in touch with other than to read their next juicy blog.
3. So, Let's say you have Tom, Dick and Harry as the close friends, and BuffDaddy68 & G0yFictionman1980 as the bloggers you like.
4. On the What's new screen, you click on the "Lists" drop-down menu: Click "manage"
5. Now, you are at the page to make a new List. Click on the "+" beside new lists, and a text box will appear.
6. Type the name of your new list Ex: Best Buds. and press 'enter'
7. Now you will see that there is no one in it. Click on the other "+" that is beside the "-".
8. A pop-up window will appear with a list of all the people you are following. Choose only who you want in that list and then click "Add".
9. Once you have chosen however many guys you want in this List, you have to do one more step: EVERY time you go to the What's New page on this site, you have to click on your follow 'Lists' This is a button on the upper right-hand corner of you "Comment Box" There will be a fold-down menu: Click the name of the List you have created.
